The SUM-IT will be a one of a kind, two day online educational experience for producers and artists. Our thoughtfully curated sessions will target the technical aspects of songwriting and production, the creative process, as well as provide feedback and tools for attendees to grow in their craft.
Our goal is to make this summit financially accessible while providing the most amount of value to attendees

Welcoming attendees to SUM-IT and explaining the intentions for the 2 days. We'll be taking any questions or concerns participants might have before we start the day.

BEAT/SONG CRITIQUE
Eestbound | My Best Friend Jacob | Danny Bresco
Participants will be submitting their song or beat a week prior to the event. We will have a sound system so that the judges can hear your music properly. The industry professionals will be giving you feedback, advice, and tips to help the technical or business side of your song or beat. The point of this segment is to get 1 on 1 attention by successful industry professionals. It's also to help build relationships with people you wouldn't normally get to meet and who knows, maybe something can happen to help shift your career. 
 
 
2:30PM - 4:30PM 
 SONGWRITING MASTERCLASS :
HOW THE SINGER CAN MAKE OR BREAK THE SONG
Lorraine Lawson
This Masterclass is for not only developing songwriters but also artists and producers. Lorraine will break down 2 approaches to songwriting ‘Singer/Songwriter’ and ‘Top Line’ and giving her secretes for telling memorable stories and creating killer hooks! As well as being interactive by asking any questions you may have!

BASIC THEORY FOR PRODUCERS
Andrew "Chef Boyar Dru" Brenner
This workshop will be an introduction to music theory. Focusing on fundamentals this workshop will be dedicated to helping producers figure out what gaps they have in their technical skills. Participants will have a chance to ask questions that pertain directly to the producer. Participants will also be able to take home tangible resources to help them when SUM-IT is over.
 
 
4:45PM - 5:45PM 
SONG DECONSTRUCTION
Savannah Rè & Yogi the Producer
We will be sitting down with Savannah Rè & Yogi the Producer as they breakdown a couple of tracks they've worked on together. They will be discussing some of the creative decisions, songwriting process, and sound choices for their last album. Participants will be able to ask questions and get specific insight you'll need to help your career, regardless of your where you're at. 
 
 
6:00PM - 7:00PM 
BEAT DECONSTRUCTION
"Drake - "Trophies"
Hagler
 Successful producer Hagler will be going through a beat deconstruction from a classic Drake record. He will be discussing the story behind the beat and then getting into the technical aspects of it. He will go through the creative process, sound choice, and other bumps along the road to it getting released. Participants will have the ability to ask questions regarding specific pieces of knowledge that will improve a producers background

SOUNDTRACK OF UNTOLD STORIES
Rance 1500
Moderated by : Erin Ashley
Erin Ashley will be moderating a conversation with Larrance Dopson aka Rance1500. They will be discusssing his rise in the industry and telling his story along with a soundtrack showing how things came together. Rance will talk about relationships, failures, and everything else in between. Rance will also be taking a couple questions for the participants to connect with the community.

ENGINEERING 101 : RECORDING AT HOME FOR ARTIST + Q&A
Eestbound | Mike Smith | Gregory Grindz
Artists, producers, and new engineers can learn a lot from these experienced and accomplished engineers. Artists will have the ability to learn how to record at home and everything they need to know. Producers can get basic information on how they can start recording the rappers they work with. Engineers that are new to the world will also be able to ask questions that can help improve their work. This is not information that you'll be able to learn from YouTube. Participants will also be able to take home some tangible homework.

MUSIC SYNC 101 + SUBMISSION + Q&A
 Where do I start with the music sync world?
Who do I get in contact with?
What kind of music should I be making?
Chris Coreless & Jazz Feezy
Producers will have the ability to submit music to these two experienced professionals in the synch world. Learn the business side of the music synch world, as well as the technical skills necessary to make the cut. Participants will have the 1-on-1 opportunity to ask questions that will help their career flourish in music synch.

MANAGING CREATIVES IN 2021 + Q&A
BRANDING, MARKETING, AND SELF MANAGING.
Mauricio Ruiz & Via Melody
Moderated by : Keziah Myers
Want to know what managers are looking for these days? We're having a sit down with two successful managers as they give their tips on getting a managers attention, self managing, and helpful branding/marketing techniques. We're excited to be able to provide value to all music entrepreneurs. There will be a Q&A portion for participants to ask specific questions

BEDROOM TO THE STUDIO
Anthony Kilhoffer
Producers will have the ability to learn from this infamous producer/engineer who's worked with the most legendary artists. He will discuss all the things that producers should or should not do when making the transition from the bedroom to the studio. Producers will learn information that isn't available on YouTube

SOUNDTRACK OF UNTOLD STORIES
Alex Tumay
Alex Tumay will be discussing his story coming up in the music industry. We will be using music to paint the soundtrack of his career as a musician. Join us as you hear untold stories from a legend in the music industry. Some participants will also have the opportunity to ask Alex a question!
